My fiance and I just bought our first house and we’re limited on what we can spend on furniture. I really love the streamlined mid-century modern style furniture, but it seems like anything in that syle (whether vintage or reproduction) is very pricey. Ikea is out of the question b/c it’s all way too cheaply made for my taste. So, anyone have any experience with Crate and Barrel furniture?

My entire bedroom set is from Crate & Barrell. It was not cheap but it is made cheap. My bed keeps falling apart and the front of my dresser drawers fall off. My friend purchased a what appeared to be a nice dining room table and it has no durability. If you slide a glass accross the table it make a mark that you cant remove. Horrible experience.
