Trying to figure out what year herman miller started making the fiberglass shell chair. I found some old fiberglass herman miller chairs with thick heavy cast iron bases, makes me think they are from the 1940’s. Any help would be greatly appreciated

“The first successfully mass-produced molded plastic chairs…were molded in fiberglass reinforced polyester and designed by Charles Eames (1907-1978) in 1948. They were introduced in 1951 by the Herman Miller Furniture Company and were produced in a variety of individual variations through 1995.”
